Code & Conduct

 

Dress Code
The dress code promotes unity, order, and discipline and MUST be adhered to. (After fair warning students WILL NOT be allowed to participate in class if they are not in the proper uniform)

• Male Students:

  • Attire:

    • Forever A Dancer T-shirt or plain black T-shirt, Black sweatpants (loose) no shorts, jeans, or khakis!

  •  Shoes:

    • Kids / Adult Combo: black socks or black dance shoes

    • Tap: black tap shoes

• Female Students:

  • Attire:

    • Black tights or sweatpants / leggings with Forever A Dancer T-shirt or Plain Black T-shirt / Black leotard (No Holes In Tights Please!) 

  •  Shoes:

    • Kids / Adult Combo: black socks or black dance shoes

    • Tap: black tap shoes

 

 

Tardiness and Absenteeism
Tardiness and absenteeism without prior notification will not be accepted. A dancer’s presence in class is imperative! Regular attendance builds better technical execution, stage performance qualities and overall confidence. Dancers with too many absences too close to the dance showcase may be pulled from the performance. The best way for dancers to learn and polish technique and choreography is to be in class. Attendance will be taken at every class. 

Please be mindful that lateness is very disruptive to the other students of the class. You WILL NOT be allowed to participate in class if you are more than 10 minutes late. You will be asked to watch. No credits or refunds will be offered due to lack of class attendance, inclement weather, or personal obligations.

 

Behavior
If a student is misbehaving and not adhering to the rules and regulations of our classes, they will first be reprimanded with the guardian’s notification. If it occurs again, the student will be asked to sit down for the remainder of the class. If it occurs for a third time, the student will be asked not to return unless accompanied by the guardian. After the third warning, student will not be able to return for the remainder of the year. Note: Student/parent are still responsible for payment through the end of the school year. 

 

NO Food, Drinks, or Snacks (including Candy/Gum) are allowed during class!  ONLY Hydrating drinks (Bottled water, Gatorade, etc.) will be permitted!  Food, Drinks, and Snacks are only allowed in the lobby / break area and must be disposed of in the trash cans!

 

Health Awareness
All students/parents should recognize there is a risk of illness or injury inherent in any exercise or dance program. Furthermore, no program of strenuous exercise should be undertaken contrary to the advice of a physician or while suffering from any illness. All students should consult their physician before beginning any program of strenuous physical activity such as a dance class.

 

 

Injury Release 

I/we agree to release and hold harmless Forever A Dancer, Inc. including its teachers, dancers, staff members, and facilities from any cause of action, claims, or demands now and in the future. I/we will not hold Forever A Dancer, Inc. liable for any personal injury or any personal property damage, which may occur on the premises before, during or after classes. Furthermore, I/we agree to obey the class and facility rules and take full responsibility for my/our behavior in addition to any damage I/we may cause to the facilities utilized by Forever A Dancer, Inc.

 

**Our code of conduct outlines the expected behavior of ALL our students. If a student fails to comply with the code of conduct, Forever A Dancer reserves the right to deny service, this includes the right to refuse service to people who are rude, disrespectful, disruptive, and/or abusive to the organization, its property and its students**

 

**TO AVOID ANY INTERRUPTIONS TO LEARNING PLEASE ENSURE ALL PAYMENTS ARE UP TO DATE BY THE END OF EACH MONTH AND FINAL PAYMENT MUST BE MADE BEFORE THE ENDING SHOWCASE**
